Peru Day Introduction, Percussion and Dance Workshops with Latin Heart
In Peru, like most of South America, people speak Spanish apart from Brazil where they speak Portuguese. The clothing is brightly coloured with lots of patterns, ponchos and hats for the boys and beautiful jackets, cloaks, hats, skirts,and belts for the girls.
Peruvian Musical Instruments
(donkey's jaw bone)
Pacay fruit shaker instrument (fruit that makes edible cotton)
Kabalonga (shell shaker)
Intruments from the Andes - Zampona, Basto and Chiflo (pan pipes, different sizes give a different pitch, smaller pipes give a higher pitch)
