What an amazing Castles Day we have shared! Mistress Sue from 'History off the Page' introduced us to a fun packed day of castle themed activites. The morning began with workshops where the children made mediaeval artefacts. This was followed by an afternoon banquette with servitors. The children seperated into groups to provide entertainment for the banquette, they were dancers, jesters, knights and knightesses. New names from the year of 1140 were given to everyone, they really were quite different from the names that are popular today. Please scroll down to view photographs taken throughout the day.
