Fantastic news we have just received the aerial photograph taken at the Charter 700 celebration when all the local primary schools came together with Tring School on the playing field. It was a memorable afternoon and it was amazing to see over 3,000 children aged from 5 – 18 all celebrating the 700th Anniversary of Tring as a market town.
What a sunny and fantastic day we have had as over 3,000 students met at Tring School to celebrate Trings 700 Market Charter by taking an aerial photograph of local schools , and parading through Tring High Street for the primary schools and a trek around Tring Park for Tring school.
At Goldfield our reception classes had a trek to Tring Memorial Gardens and a picnic lunch. Please scroll down to see photographs of their trek and picnic, followed by photographs at Tring School with our Years 1 and 2 students (including video clip) and the i-spy quiz and parade through Tring High Street on our return to school.
On the way to Tring Memorial Gardens we found that Hessian & Indigo (some very dear Goldfield friends) had been yarn bombing outside St. Peter and St. Paul's Church. We couldn't resist exploring their crafty handwork! It's definately worth a visit if you are in the High Street!
More wonderful sights awaited us at the Memorial Gardens
Time to catch up with the Years 1 and 2, could this be them? No but it is Bishop Wood on their way to Tring School, hi there!
Unfortunately the Drone that was due to take the aerial photograph was not able to join everyone, instead the photograph was taken from the roof of the Desborough Hall. Keep watching for the photo which will be added as soon as it arrives, if everthing works out we should all make the shape of a flower. What a community we are!
Look carefully for the yellow hats and flags....here comes Goldfield!
Please click on the play button below to hear Tring Mayor's speach before the schools photograph was taken and the Tring Trek began!
As we got closer to the turning for Goldfield we had a wonderful surprise welcome as reception....
.... were singing our favourite Goldfield songs. They joined us as we walked the rest of the way to the school!
