Each classroom has a suite of computers which are networked. Laptop computers and ipads (used in conjunction with Airserver) are also available for whole class Computing lessons. Children have access to appropriate sites only, on the world wide web. The school has a bank of digital and video cameras.
Goldfield School also has a wide range of technical equipment to show how information can be communicated, for example sound buttons, recording microphones and listening stations which can be used by a class, small group or individuals using headphones. The children also use a range of programmable toys. Please scroll down to view a selection of photographs.
Beebot is a programable robot which the children use in the classrooms. To make a successful journey the children must enter the correct instuctions using the keys on top of Beebot. But all previous instructions must be cleared first! There are also computer programs and i-pad apps that the children used to take Beebot on journeys.
As soon as Webster leaves the spider web we know it is time for a Computing lesson
